Charlotte Hughes has been in the Corps for four years and has achieved many great things during her cadet career; one of her greatest achievements to date is being in the top 40 for the Duke of Westminster's Award - an award for the best overall cadet in four Corps'. She has also completed the Nijmegen March which is one of the most extensive marches in the world.

In her new position, CWO Hughes will be a helping hand to all the cadets at 1211, particularly supporting the NCO's and Flight Commander's in their roles, and she will also be the main liason between the staff and cadets. On a nightly basis she will also help to teach the training flight and also providing the syllabus lectures for Leading Cadet.

Squadron Commander, Flight Lieutenant Alyn Thompson RAFVR(T), commented: “We’ve chosen the right person for the job and know that Charlie will rise well to the challenge that lies ahead of her.”
